How do I upload my photos?
From My Account page, click the Upload Photo button. The Fotoofood site offers two differents ways to upload your photos by functionality "Browse" (to upload photos one at a time), or through an FTP server (to upload multiple photos at once) and the following procedure.
How to sell my photos in Premium collection?
Depending on their quality and creative interest, photos can be marketed in standard collection or Premium collection. The website reserves the exclusive right to arbitration on the sale Premium selection. A partner may, however, request by contacting the team directly, to include his pictures in Premium collection. The final decision belongs exclusively to Fotoofood company.
Is there any income to declare regarding the amount of my commissions?
By selling your photos on the Fotoofood site and receive compensation, you exercise an economic activity subject to taxes. Then, you agree to comply with the tax laws of your country by subscribing an account on the site Fotoofoud. The profile of a photographer could be removed immediately if we are informed that this commitment is not respected.
How to access to my account history (sale, payment... )
A dashboard is available on My Account page so you can track your purchases and sales any time. As a buyer, you can also track your purchases (purchased loans) and expenses (Fotos purchased). As a seller, you can view your photos for sale (and add a recipe), your sales, your earnings and upload new photos.
How do I update my personal informations (name, address ...)?
From your account, click the Edit Profile button to access all of your data and update them : your login details to access the site Fotoofood, billing information to make your shopping online easyer, and your bank details to receive your compensation from the sale of photographs.
How I can be sure that my photo is at it’s best on the home page ?
Your photo is likely to appear in the new gallery on the home page of the site Fotoofood, you actually have the opportunity to review the framing specifically for this view (when uploading).
What will happen if I upload the same file multiple times ?
We can’t control the content of uploaded files. It is therefore important to ensure not to download several times the same photo. However, if this were to happen, you can always delete a photo by two means : directly from the page of Upload or from the My Fotos for sale. If you encounter any problem during the upload, please contact us.
What do the purchase credits?
The credit is a variable purchase price depending on the package purchased by a buyer. To encourage photographers to sale their production, the site Fotoofood opted for a single price policy regarding the sale of pictures. The photographer, regardless of the value of the credit to buy, is commissioned at 30 % on the basis of 1 euro per sold credit.
Note : the commission increases to 40 % from 100 photos sold on the site Fotoofood, and 50% from 1000 photos sold. The commission rate is manually changed, we thank the photographers to alert us before each level of puctures to avoid mistakes. The new rate is applied in the month following the effective sale of 100 or 1000 photos, and is not retroactive.
May I ask to recover the amount of my sales commissions any time?
For logistical requirements, commissions are paid once a month by bank transfer. The monitoring of transfers is only visible from My remuneration page and accessible from your account. We cannot ensure timely payment on request.
I noticed that my bank charged me for commission transfers
The website Fotoofood charges sellers with 50% of bank commission fees, and takes the remaining 50% on the house. The amount of these fees varies according to the country of origin (especially outside the Euro zone). We strive to reduce it.
Are Pictures protected with a watermark ?
Each photo is watermarked after downloading and before the launch. The watermark will disappear when the purchase of a photo is completed. This is to prevent the use of unpaid pictures.
Why I can’t upload photos taken with a smartphone ?
The Fotoofood website intends to propose high quality photos, taken with a specific hardware. Pictures of less than 3 MB are automatically rejected by a filter at load time. The site cannot theoretically sell, until further notice, photos taken with a smartphone. This decision protects further pictures that would be achieved in places such as restaurants. Reminder : the author of the picture is not in fact the owner of the culinary creation or artistic photo layout.
I don’t know what to put as keywords when loading pictures. I am afraid to forget important data, can you help me?

Will I be noticed if some of my photos are rejected ?
You will receive an email that clarifies refusal.
The reasons can be many :
- the picture is blurred
- The picture is under or overexposed flagrantly
- The colour quality is not sufficient
- The framing is wrong
- Artistic arrangement is not smooth
- Creation is similar to many photos already on sale on the site
- The photo has no connection with the food industry
- The camera uses the image of people
- Photo using products (brand) easily recognizable and therefore subject to authorisations
How can I let you know if I don’t want my photos published on posters or other specific support?
The Fotoofood website sells royalty-free images. However, partners may impose photographer publication restrictions (Print, Web, Publishing, Advertising, Display, consumer use) by ticking the relevant boxes when loading pictures. It is imperative to indicate these restrictions to prevent the use of a photograph on a media that you do not want. The website reject responsibility if you forget to indicate the restrictions, because we have no access to the photographer's profile. We remind that you can always change these restrictions on each photo. Buyers registered on Fotoofood expressly undertake to comply with these restrictions under penalty of exposing themselves to prosecution.
What is the value of a purchase credit?
It depends on the package purchased. The credit value is 0.80 for the cheapest and up to 3 euros for a package of 10 credits. For pricing of the packs offers, please go to the section Rates .
Can I download again a previously uploaded file, photo and recipe ?
The photos and the recipes purchased are available in unlimited download in your account, from « My spending ».
How to use the LIGHTBOX ?
The "Lightbox" allows you to organise your favorite photos in thematic folders. To add a photo to your "Lightbox", just click on the pictogram "+" that appears when you scrol the mouse on the wanted photo. You can also go to the Lightbox page to manage your theme files and organise your photos accordingly : create new folders, rename a file, edit your photo assignments or delete a folder.

Start by entering your login and password and go to your My Account page. This page contains the dashboard of your purchases and sales. Changing the password, lost password.
You can always change your password from your Profile page. If you lose your password, you need to reset the following directions after clicking the "Forgot your password? of the login page. Were commend to frequently change your password in order to optimise the security of your account.
What is the difference between photos of the standard collection and the Premium collection?
Pictures of the Premium Collection are top quality and / or performed by famous photographers in the world of food photography, which justifies a higher sale price.
How to be sure that my research is effective ?
To optimise the results of a search, choose one or more keywords describing clearly the recipe or a wanted image, and use all available filters (flat category, style, alignment, background colour scheme...). The Fotoofood site has a powerful tool to optimise the search, it is " tolerant typo " which means it is capable to find relevant results when the query contains misspelled words.
Can I buy a photo without a recipe ?
A buyer can absolutely buy a single photo, but he can’t buy a recipe without the associated image. Photo available with the recipe are indivisible and not commutable.
When does purchased credits expire over time ?
The credits of an unused account for two years are automatically deleted.
What about "restrictions of publications " ?
An photographer is the exclusive right person to give allowance or not for the publishing on all types of media. The buyer of a picture on the site Fotoofood is committed to strictly observe the conditions and restrictions, within the legal framework of the royalty-free licence.

Can I be refunded for downloaded files ?
Once downloaded, every purchase file is considered final and can be no refund.
